SYNOPSIS
The film opens with Barry (Simon Rex) sitting on the toilet in a motel bathroom playing a game on his phone. Outside a storm is brewing. He reaches for the toilet paper and notices a cryptic message scribbled on it: DON’T GET UP!
Using a shard of broken glass to look behind the cistern, Barry discovered the horrifying truth: the toilet has been rigged with a bomb. A mysterious caller tells Barry that he is sitting on the trigger. If he stands up, he dies. To survive he has to pay $220,000 before the countdown reaches zero. Barry is faced with an impossible choice: comply or escape. But neither will be easy.
Barry’s accounts have been frozen by divorce proceedings, a violent storm has crippled emergency services, and every desperate attempt to escape only makes things worse. Armed with nothing but his phone and his wits, Barry is forced into a terrifying psychological battle with the bombmaker on the other end of the phone while an FBI agent races to uncover the truth.
As the clock ticks down in real time, Barry realises the attack isn’t random – it’s connected to a dark secret from his past that destroyed another man’s life. To survive, Barry must confront his buried guilt, reconcile with the family he abandoned, and somehow survive the night without ever standing up…
